Christmas market “Husebyjul”

Christmas at Huseby Bruk 20 km south of Växjö is the largest Christmas market in the Nordic region today, with over 30 000 visitors. Around 170 exhibitors set up their booths on the estate. Here you find Sweden’s best craftsmen and small-scale food producers. Enjoy the wonderful scents of aromatic juniper, live candles and good food.

At dusk we light outdoor candles

The whole estate is adorned with thousands of small lights and 500 outdoor candles, for the sake of the atmosphere.

Christmas goats, candles and elves

Handmade Christmas goats and other straw creations, hand steeped candles, juniper crafts that scent the air, and Christmas elves in all shapes.

Food stalls

The country’s largest gathering of farm trades will make your mouth water. Gear up for Christmas and buy brännvinsost (a very flavourful type of cheese), knäckebröd (Swedish crispbread), smoked chicken, lingonberry-bread, sausages, marzipan, game meat, home-pickled herring, ostrich, and a bottle of Huseby’s own glögg (mulled wine).

Goldsmiths and basket weavers

Enjoy all the creativity and knowledge that is gathered here during the Christmas market. Forging, ceramics, basket making, hand steeped candles, handwoven tablecloths, glass art, carving and whittling, woodwork in all techniques – everything is available.
